Everybody hair works different but there are many benefits to protective styling and a range of styles that one could try to from styling their own hair to extensions. You name it I have tried it the best ones I have come across so far is wigs and twist your hair is covered but you still can moisturize and care for your hair and scalp easiest!!.
My best advice to offer when thinking of a protective style to try for the element go for something where your hair doesn’t have to be manipulated at all. Many girls go for sew ins and leave out a portion of hair and tend to cause unnecessary heat damage on the little bit of hair left out to make it blend with the hair they chose to use.
Moisture moisture and moisture!! Is still very much important for your hair even if you have it braided weaved or covered by a wig DO NOT NEGLECT your hair because you think since it’s covered your good. Use of products that have spouts to get directly to the scalp and hair are helpful. Apply mixture or essential/penetrative oils to your scalp such as extra virgin olive or coconut oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, tea tree oil, jojoba oil, etc. allow moisture to get in and use these oils to keep the scalp lubricated to promote strength and healthy hair growth underneath these protective styles.
Before using protective styling always use a good protein treatment in your hair to provide strength while your hair is covered.
